Been Busy, Well sort of

As we are confined to the cold northwest, our friends Larissa and Rami (who build our home) are helping us out by have things done to our house. We had doors added to the bathrooms and are having some furniture made, some tables, a bed and kitchen cabinets.

This table is being made for a wood carving we bough in Quepos back in 2001.

  1. My email is grumblesfmarenal@aol.com. Please follow up with me via email. regarding your last message on my blog, please don't tell me that you did mean to throw me a curve by saying 'cano for volcano. Again, no one can ever predict when the weather might interfere with being able to see the volcano. We live near the town of Nuevo Arenal, along the Lake Road, and really don't even think of the volcano much at all. We associate our locale's name with the lake and the town, and not with the volcano. Weird, but we're not the only ones who think this way.

The tip of the volcano is visible at different times from our end of the lake, but that possibility is very unpredictable, so it's all a crap shoot.

Best bet would be some place close to La Fortuna, and I wouldn't think you'd need to worry about reservations in July. There are plenty of places to stay.

Shoot me an email, and I'll be glad to provide more information, and better contact info, as well.
    btw, my name is John.
